VR Aero Carbon Fiber Side Skirts Toyota A90 Supra
VR Aero Carbon Fiber Side Skirts Toyota A90 Supra
After releasing the A90 Supra, Toyota owners took it upon themselves to personalize and make their car unique. While the styling is highly aggressive, many owners feel it could use some more performance cosmetics. The factory design of the A90 is performance-oriented in a few ways, but left owners seeking elevated aesthetics compared to what was offered.
The VR Aero dry carbon fiber side skirts transform the A90 by exaggerating the body lines and adding a winged flare near the rear wheel. Installation of the side skirts is simple and offers precise fitment thanks to the 3D scanning and CAD engineering used for the manufacturing process. This same method is used by most elite automotive companies which is why VR Aero followed suit to bring the highest quality carbon fiber to the market.
With a beautiful 3K 2x2 twill weave construction the dry carbon fiber offers elegance while improving the performance look. Pre-preg carbon fiber is rigid and lightweight which is ideal for those worried about adding more weight to their vehicle for track use. Installing the VR Aero side skirts will enhance the performance and track look of the A90 that flows well with the factory aesthetics.
After the carbon fiber comes out of the autoclave, it is polished to perfection and gives off a glorious sheen. By utilizing a UV-resistant resin and injecting it into the fibers helps eliminate the chances of the side skirts getting yellow or hazy over time. It is common for the cheaper carbon fiber to degrade over time due to exposure to UV rays from the sun.

Dry carbon fiber is formed by using a pre-preg or impregnated piece of carbon materials. This piece of carbon is first placed into a mold, and then into a sealed vacuum to properly cure. This particular method creates the least amount of waste and forms a lighter version of carbon than the "wet" method. The vacuuming process of making dry carbon means that there are fewer pinholes and almost no air pockets that form in the carbon. Dry carbon is the highest quality version of carbon fiber products that are produced. However, it is 3 to 4 times more expensive to produce than its counterpart.
Advantages of Dry Carbon Fiber:- 60% Lighter and Significantly stronger
- Superior manufacturing process
- Uses a dry finish for enhancing its cosmetic appearance
